Sophie Bergeron, Ph.D.

Sophie Bergeron is a full professor in the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal, where she holds the Canada Research Chair Tier 1 in Intimate Relationships and Sexual Well-being. She is the director of the Sexual Health Laboratory and the SCOUP Team – Sexuality and Couples. Since 2022, she has been the Scientific Director of CRIPCAS, where she is also responsible for interdisciplinary collaboration and public visibility. Her research focuses on the psychosocial determinants of the sexual health of individuals and couples, as well as the treatment of sexual dysfunctions. The findings of her research have led to the development of evidence-based group and couple interventions.
