Mélanie Corneau, M.Sc.

Scientific coordinator - Université de Montréal

Mélanie Corneau is a senior research advisor at the Université de  Montréal since 2010 and has been the Scientific Coordinator at CRIPCAS since 2012. She holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology, a Master's degree in criminology and completed Doctoral studies in criminology. She has expertise in knowledge transfer and scientific popularization. She serves as a strategic advisor and communication liaison with and among researchers, partners, and students at the Center. She plays active roles within the Board of Directors and other decision-making bodies, including the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) Committee, ensuring the development of institutional visibility and public awareness for CRIPCAS. She also works closely with the Student Committee and facilitates the implementation of their scientific popularization initiatives. Additionally, she is responsible for the programming and coordination of all scientific outreach activities, including conferences, training sessions, clinical workshops, annual conferences, and international colloquia. Finally, she represents CRIPCAS with funding agencies, research groups, partners in practice settings, and is involved in developing new partnerships.
