Our work aims to identify the processes leading to body dissatisfaction, eating disorders and weight gain, while pursuing screening and prevention efforts to improve our interventions. They explore weight-related stigma and trauma within interpersonal relationships and clinical populations.
Examination of the Stigmatization Experience Related to Body Weight Within Couples: This research aims to assess the nature and consequences of weight-related stigma within couples, from both an individual and dyadic perspective. Examination of the Experience of Stigmatization Related to Body Weight Within Families and Its Long-Term Effects: This research aims to deepen understanding of weight-related stigma within families to better grasp its effects on the well-being of each family member. Interdisciplinary Perspective on Individuals Dealing with Weight Concerns, Body Image, and Eating: This research aims to create an interdisciplinary database to develop a broad and integrated understanding of this population, including information about experienced traumas. From Loss of Control Over Eating to Binge Eating Disorder: Developmental Trajectories and Risk Factors: This research aims to identify young individuals who are at the highest risk of developing binge eating disorder, including information about experienced traumas.
